Yiguang is a PhD Candidate in the Department of Environmental Health and Engineering at Johns Hopkins University, working with Dr. Paul Locke, and affiliated with the JHU Toxicology Policy Program.
My research focuses on the intersection of environmental health and science policy. I specialize in the regulatory validation, qualification, and standardization of New Approach Methodologies (NAMs), particularly in vitro testing methods like Microphysiological Systems and organ-on-a-chip models. Through comparative analysis of decision-making frameworks governing drugs, chemicals, and medical products, I aim to enhance evidence-based policymaking and expedite the translation, adoption, and implementation of innovative testing methods.
